Bass fisherman's dream. Large mouth bass is the most popular fishing, at least in the southeast. Many tournaments held every year for these fun to catch species. The main and number one rule of all is "patients".

Top water lures come in a lot of sizes and shapes. This can be a lot of fun. Nothing like watching the bass attack these lures right on top of the water. Different ways to work these toppers are discussed on the top water page.

Crappie Fishing
Some anglers say is a Spring seasonal sport. But the fact is Crappie can be a year round fun sport. Year round anglers will often tell you their biggest crappie are caught in the winter. So what is the best time to catch crappie? Well I'd say any time especially at night. If your fishing from a pier and have a lantern you are in good shape and should do very well.
When the leaves begin to turn and our spirit rises just like it does in the spring, crappie get a new sense of life and will once again form schools. They will feed heavily on shad and often visit the shallows for a short time. Crappie can once again be caught in large numbers during this time. An angler will be rewarded by fishing spring-like patterns when the water temp has dropped under 68 degrees.
